What you’ll be doing

As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to with children with hearing needs of all ages (0-19), across all types of education settings, at one of our resourced provisions for primary aged deaf children, or at the child’s home.

You will be joining our highly skilled team, of teachers, TAs and other professionals, committed to helping children with hearing needs achieve the best educational, social and emotional outcomes, and independence.

 

What we need from you

  • To be passionate and committed to inclusion and meeting the needs of all children.
  • Have some experience of supporting children with hearing needs (desirable)
  • Work flexibly across multiple settings empowering partners to deliver the best outcomes for our children.
  • To be positive, resilient, flexible, and work well within our happy team.
  • The ability to communicate with children and young people with hearing needs.  British Sign Language would be an advantage.
  • A valid full UK driving licence and access to your own transport (mileage will be paid)
  • To share the vision and the values of The Big Life group.
