About us

Big Life is in the business of changing lives. We fight inequality by working with people and places to create opportunities and inspire change. Whatever service we deliver to help people to change their lives, we do things the Big Life Way.

Be Well is a health and wellbeing service that works with people in Manchester who have multiple lifestyle issues that they wish to change. A team of coaches and specialist workers in employment, advice and benefits, healthy lifestyles and early help work on a one-to-one and group basis with individuals to help improve their health and wellbeing.

  • You will manage a large case load of clients, typically 60 clients at any one time.
  • You will use person-centred and relationship-based practice to support participants to achieve progress against the goals and issues that are important to them.
  • You will deliver a range of targeted and evidence-based interventions.
  • You will represent Be Well at a range of external events and meetings.
  • You will hold positive relationships with a range of stakeholders within your anchor neighbourhood and wider locality.
  • You are passionate about the Manchester community.
  • You are numerate, literate, and prepared to learn.

What we will offer you in return

  • A fixed term contract (until March 31st, 2025), 35 hours per week.
  • Based at Zion Centre, Manchester with Agile Remote Home Working.
  • 25 days holiday, and 30 once you’ve been here five years.
  • A relaxed culture where you are expected to plan your own day, take breaks when you need them and enjoy your work.
  • Ongoing personal and professional development through regular supervision
  • A supportive, flexible approach to managing staff health and wellbeing, including a wide range of perks, schemes, and support.
