Our legal structure

The Big Life group comprises a social enterprise called the Big Life Company (company number 4227421) a Multi-Academy Trust called Big Life Schools, and three charities:

  • Big Life Centres (charity number 1062333)
  • Self Help Services (charity number 1122063)

  

  The registered address for all five components of the group is Zion Community Resource Centre, 339 Stretford Rd, Hulme, Manchester, M15 4ZY.

  The Big Life group is overseen by The Big Life group board, which comprises non-exec directors and charity trustees. A separate Multi-Academy Trust Board oversees Big Life Schools.

  As well as sitting on the board, our medical director, Louise Grant, chairs our Quality Committee. Their job is to ensure that we continually strive to improve the quality and safety of services we deliver. The committee meets quarterly, and produces a report each year, assessing our standards.

  Our Audit & Risk Committee oversee the financial operations of the group, internal and external audits, risk register and remuneration of directors.
