I cannot thank RISE enough for helping us provide activities and resources so we can make a difference in the lives of the mothers whilst they are at their most vulnerable.
Manchester’s young mums and mums to-be have benefited from an innovative funding partnership with construction sector company Rise.
Rise, who use profits from capital works and services to drive social value, played a crucial role in extending the range of support available to mums at Big Life’s Motherhood Hub based at the Kath Locke Centre in Moss Side.
Their funding helped with activities, training and making their meetings more homely.
Davine Forde, Community Development Worker at the Kath Locke says, “As the women coming to the Motherhood Hub had often suffered traumatic experiences, we wanted to be able to offer more one-to-one support. The Rise funding enabled this, with things like counselling at a community level, giving mums the opportunity to get on with their lives.
