About Big Lifelines

Jake's story is a part of our Big Lifelines project. Through telling people's stories in their own words, focusing on the moments in their lives that matter most to them, Big Lifelines look to raise the voices of people who don't always get seen in a rounded, whole-person way.

These stories are not about services, diagnoses or blame, but a chance to hear first-hand about the traumas, challenges, successes and relationships that make people what they are.

How Jake worked with us

Jake told us his story while accessing Community Voice, a user-led service, run by people who have been affected by drug or alcohol use, that works to get the voices of people who have been affected by drugs and alcohol heard in the commissioning and everyday running of drug and alcohol services in Liverpool.
