The Energise Centre is a community centre in the heart of Salford, from which statutory, community and voluntary organisations deliver health and wellbeing services, including a GP surgery.

All the groups, courses and services that take place at the centre aim to improve and maintain your health and happiness. We also have a wide variety of volunteering opportunities at the centre, from leading groups to helping out around the building!

Monday

Motivate your Monday Walk! (10.30am – 11.30am)

Walking is great for your health and can even help you to lose weight. Come along to our weekly walk to start taking steps towards a healthier you. Meet at The Energise Centre at 10.15am or the entrance to Kersal Wetlands at 10.30am. Refreshments available afterwards at The Energise Centre.

Grow Together Gardening Group (11am – 12pm)

Let’s grow together! Come along and help us create our very own wellness garden right here at the energise centre! We also welcome donations of plants, cuttings, planters and gardening equipment to help us with our project!

Be Creative (12.30pm – 2pm)

Come and join our weekly creativity group. Draw, paint, craft and much more. No experience necessary. Just turn up! Suggested £1 donation.

Newborn Mothers (1st October, 5th November- 10.30am- 12pm)

Please note the new session time of this group. This is a women’s group aimed at pregnant women and new mothers hosted by Greater Manchester Doulas. We know that postpartum can sometimes feel lonely or overwhelming, so we invite you to come along and allow yourself to exhale.

Women’s Group (1st October, 5th November- 2pm- 3pm

Please note the new session time of this group. Wild women rising! Come along to our new women only group facilitated by Greater Manchester Doulas. We want this to be a safe, non-judgemental space for women of any age where we can build self-confidence, and practice self-care and setting healthy boundaries.

First Tuesday of the month,

 

Stretch & Smile, Chair Based Exercise (11am – 12pm)

Come and join us for some gentle exercises to enhance your mobility, flexibility and muscle strength. Open to all abilities. There will be additional capacity for new participants from September onwards. There’s no need to book- just turn up.

Friendship Group for over 50s (12pm – 1.30pm) 

Would you like to be part of the friendship group for over 50s? Meet new friends, activities, games and much more. Drop-in session, all welcome. Suggested £1 donation.

Trip to Prince’s Park Garden Centre (24th September) 

Join us for a day out to Prince’s Park garden centre in Irlam. Meet us at Salford Shopping Centre (Stop B) at 11am to get the 67 bus with us or alternatively meet us at the garden centre entrance at 12pm. Prince’s Park, Liverpool Road, Irlam, M44 6BR. Booking required.

 

Health Improvement Team Stop Smoking Drop-in (1pm- 3pm) 

Weekly stop smoking drop-in with the Salford Health Improvement Team. Come along and get the support you need to quit smoking for good.

Tea and Chat Drop-in (3pm – 5pm) 

Drop in session for adults in need of a brew, a chat or just a place to relax for a few hours. Games, activities and refreshments available.

Riverside Run for Beginners (5pm- 5.45pm) 

Come along to our beginners running group. All welcome- run/walk at your own pace to build up your running fitness levels. Meet at The Energise Centre for 5pm.

Holistic Share  (11am- 12pm)

Group meditation session with tips and advice on some holistic ways to look after your wellbeing.  Booking essential.

Wellbeing Walk (1pm- 2pm)

Come and join our weekly walking group. Meet new people, connect with the community and explore local green spaces. Meet at Kersal Wetlands, Littleton Road, Salford for a 1 hour walk. Join us afterwards at the centre for a brew.

Kersal Moor Wellbeing Walk (1pm – 2pm)

Do you want to get more active? Join us for a walk around Kersal Moor. Meet at Salford City Football Club, Moor Lane entrance. Refreshments will be available at Salford City Football Club after the walk.

Breast Buddies (31st October, 28th November- 1pm- 2:30pm) 

Friendly peer support group. Open to those with a breast cancer diagnosis, those currently in treatment and breast cancer survivors.

MacMillan Coffee Morning with Salford Breast Buddies (26th September 13:00- 14:30pm)

In September our Breast Buddies breast cancer support group will be hosting a MacMillan Coffee Morning. This will be a great opportunity to get together and raise a bit of money for MacMillan Cancer Support. Everyone welcome– please feel free to bring friends, family & cake!

Lets look at life goals to help you to be the best version of yourself! This will include, Goal Setting Techniques, Confidence building activities and more.
